Where We Share
The group who conceived of and made
the quilt For the Love of Bettie ©PbP 2010 have
sold over a fifteen hundred tickets. I'm proud to say I know them, they are lovely ladies.

The quilt, For the Love of Bettie © PbP 2010 was designed by Dorothy Ann,. It was pieced
by the Live Oak Quilting Group who graciously allowed me to help. It will be an Opportunity donation at the 2010
Relay for Life in honor of Bettie Gill a member of the group. This Quest for a Cure fabric, Pretty
Face by Ro Greg for Northcott Fabrics, was generously donated by Northcott.

When beauty calls
I can never spend enough time among my fabrics and quilts. I use fabrics and
fabric lines from the leading manufactures of fabric in the quilting business. I do that for obvious reasons, but an
added bonus is that I get to look at them here in my Studio/Store. I can't describe the beauty-Ah!

It's Here!!! Along the Garden Path, Dorothy Ann's sixth McCall's quilt
Hi everyone! And, I must say that I don't know who 'everyone' will be, maybe no one. I've had this blog with
my website for awhile but due to time restrains and computer crashes, I've not used it. Well, here goes....... McCall's
Quilting Magazine is my favorite place to publish my quilts, well, who wouldn't want to publish with them. McCall's
staff is wonderful; they are professional, friendly, helpful and well, just great all around. Several other of my designs
have been published or taken to Market for the purpose of showcasing a fabric line, actually several lines. These quilts
are special too. You can see most of my published quilts and a few that I have designed expecially for my web customers
on www.peacebypiecing.com Thank you whoever you are. I don't know how to find this blog myself, it will be interesting. Blessings, Dorothy Ann Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans
to give you hope and a future.

The rising price of cotton, what about us?
What is this? I have read in several places that the price of cotton is expected to double in price in the next year.
What goes up, does it ever come back down? My last fabric order reflected a significant rise in the wholesale price
per yard. I wondered if it would be reflected in the cost per yard at the retail level and went surfing. What
I found is that indeed the price of retail quilting fabric has risen from about $8/9 per yard to $10/11 per yard. Wow
and oops! Several reasons were given, but the bottom line is what about us? Dorothy Ann

New Fabric Choices
Hi, My employees, Maryline, Judy and I have had the most rewarding two
weeks. We have sold so many kits that we wear ourselves out every day cutting, kitting and mailing them.
I'm sure there are those who are beginning to wonder if their kits will ever arrive. They will unless we expire from
exhaustion. They are coming; we just couldn't have imagined just how successful the quilt would be. Thank you
so much, everyone. Dorothy Ann
